Mission: Mexico 2006

Dates: May 7-13, 2006

Team: Todd Paris, Pottersville, N.Y. (One other team member had to withdraw from the mission because of an injury sustained while bouldering.)

Purpose: A follow-up mission to place bolted sport routes for rock climbing on 80-foot-high cliffs and a cable Tyrolean traverse across a 100-plus-foot arroyo for EduVenture Mexcio on the Rancho Huapoca in the Sierra Madre Mountains in the northern state of Chihuahua. EduVenture, a cross-cultural Christian college program, is directed by Climbing For Christ member Tim Trezise. The climbing routes and Tyrolean traverse will be used as part of the educational program. The team will be flown from Phoenix by a missionary pilot.
