Ministries, missions, or evangelism involved in: 1998-2000 — Intern at Rock the Nations in Colorado Springs, Colo. Participated in conference set-up, youth ministry, preaching, short-term missions to the Philippines and also to China. Helped design and edit promotional materials and newsletters. 2000-2008 — Missionary in China, but specifically worked with Tibetans in a church-planting team for three years. After that my wife and I decided to broaden our ministry by starting a service-learning institute that brings much-needed resources to long-term workers.

What are you looking forward to most while on this mission? Sharing the Light with someone in darkness and fellowship with two awesome brothers in Christ.

What’s your favorite thing about Climbing For Christ? The community.

The Word

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

“The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

“The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.”

— Psalm 19:7-9 (NIV)

The Mountain of the LORD

“In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.

“Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.' The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

— Micah 4:1-2 (NIV)
