Age: 28. Residence: China. Personal: Married for 5 years to a wonderful woman of God. Current and past occupations: Cook, contractor, graphic artist, machine operator, English teacher, youth minister, short-term missions coordinator, student (Chinese language, outdoor leadership, and theology), long-term missionary to Tibetans, founder of an international service-learning institute (still trying to found it), father and husband. Church/community of faith: Bible Baptist Church, Cortland, N.Y.
Favorite Scripture: Psalm 19:7-9 and Micah 4:1-2.
Ministries, missions, or evangelism involved in: 1998-2000 — Intern at Rock the Nations in Colorado Springs, Colo. Participated in conference set-up, youth ministry, preaching, short-term missions to the Philippines and also to China. Helped design and edit promotional materials and newsletters. 2000-2008 — Missionary in China, but specifically worked with Tibetans in a church-planting team for three years. After that my wife and I decided to broaden our ministry by starting a service-learning institute that brings much-needed resources to long-term workers.
What are you looking forward to most while on this mission? Sharing the Light with someone in darkness and fellowship with two awesome brothers in Christ.
