Purpose: To provide free medical check-ups and distribute medicine to the people of Tacadang in the Benguet province from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3. Very few people visit Tacadang because of its remote location and the difficulty involved in getting there. From Manila, visitors must travel overnight by bus to Baguio, and then go from Baguio to Kibungan before a day-long trek over four mountain passes. In addition to serving medical needs, our “Healing Tacadang” team will visit with church leaders and provide encouragement as well as resource materials for study. We will also deliver school supplies.
Note: This trip is a survey mission intended to encourage and support Climbing For Christ Philippines. Climbing For Christ will be leading an Evangelic Expedition in late August 2009 after the third annual Asia-Pacific Adventure Ministry Conference in Manila. In addition to serving in the mission field, Climbing For Christ will hold a chapter meeting with members of C4C Philippines.
