Mt Whitney

A group of us are looking to do Whitney in 2010. We are planning to get a permit and go in the typical season between June -Sept. We've done all the peaks in the Adirondacks and have been hitting the whites in NH, all in January. We are looking for a guide, official or un-official for the trip. Also, I'm in my 50's and I may want to get up high a day or two earlier than the other (kids) to acclimatize. Are there any places, huts to stay up there? Looking for some feedback...Bill Wos

Bill, Sounds like fun. You may want to also post under partners in the Climbing life section as well?  -Todd
