The Minnesota chapter is meeting once a month and reading two chapters a month. I am so excited to go through this book- I know this will be a great adventure we can share together! -Isaac

Great TR and lessons learned early are always important ones. Thank you for pointing out that treading high places can be dangerous in all 4 seasons.

I totally agree about older hyms! I know I have said it before, but being in the mountains is like being in the sanctuary of a church, on my knees, humble before God. I can't help but worship- funny story though: we were traversing the last steep part of Liberty Ridge (about 45-50 degrees) and I was on point. We were tied together and the snow was waist deep and getting deeper. Visibility was minimal in the snowstorm and we knew we would not get to the summit that night. As normal, I was ...

Link to crampons nice deal if you are in the market for some ice climbing crampons. I would not recommend for climbing Mt. Rainier. This is the first model of pure ice climbing crampons I had and they worked great. Only thing is- getting replacement parts might be tough since Grivel is leaving the North American market.
